Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, NJ, most commonly called Parsippany, is 35 miles west of New York City and only 30 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport by car, making it a preeminent business center.  Fortune 500 companies operating in Parsippany include Mercedes-Benz, Avis Budget Group, Intel Corporation, AT&T and General Motors.

As of the 2010 Census, Parsippany had a population of 53,238, the highest of any municipality in Morris County, NJ.  The estimated median household income was $69,394 in 2008 when CNN Money magazine ranked Parsippany 13th among the Best Places to Live in the United States.  The Parsippany-Troy Hills Township School District includes two high schools, Parsippany and Parsippany Hills, along with two middle schools and 10 elementary schools.

Parsippany comes from the Lenape Native American word “parsipanong,” which means “the place where the river winds through the valley,” so it’s no surprise that the township boasts 31 parks and has earned the nickname of “Tree City USA.”  The largest is Knoll Park, situated within Knoll Golf Club, with two picnic areas, walking paths, a nature center and a play area designed for handicapped children, the first of its kind in New Jersey.

Kids can get an early taste of the performing arts at the All Children’s Theatre, families enjoy concerts regularly at Veterans Memorial Park, and you can always find fresh fruit, vegetables and baked goods at the weekly Farmers Market.  Popular local restaurants include Eccola (Italian), Tabor Road Tavern (American), Marakesh (Middle Eastern/Moroccan) and Fusha Sushi Bar (Japanese).
