ABERDEEN, N.J. (Dec. 19, 2025) – DeMarco’s Catering & Gourmet Deli is celebrating a major milestone this month as it marks 50 years as a cornerstone at Garden Commercial’s Regent Shopping Center. The family-owned and operated business has served the community from the same Aberdeen property on Route 34 and Lloyd Road since 1975.
Founded by Louis DeMarco, DeMarco’s Catering & Gourmet Deli opened its doors on December 9 – a half century ago – baking hand-rolled Italian bread on premises in a traditional brick oven.
In the decades that followed, DeMarco’s evolved into a gourmet deli, expanding its offerings to include a complete line of Boar’s Head meat products, fresh homemade soups and meals, Italian grocery items and an expansive catering menu, including full-service BBQ. The shop continues to bake a full range of Italian and specialty breads, rolls, and bakery items on the premises every day – a tradition that sets it apart from its competitors.
Today, Louis DeMarco’s sons, Eugene and Robert, represent the business’ second generation and carry the tradition of excellence set forth by their father. DeMarco’s still operates using the same proven formula that has made it a success for five decades.
“There’s no real secret to our longevity,” said Eugene DeMarco. “We simply focus on delivering a great product. Our food is made fresh with the highest-quality ingredients, and we provide exceptional customer service. We are also fortunate to have a dedicated team of employees. At 85 years old, my dad is still here several days a week baking bread from scratch.”
As an original Regent Shopping Center tenant, DeMarco’s Catering & Gourmet Deli benefits from the property’s accessible location, proximate to major highways and its customer base in Monmouth and Middlesex counties. “This shopping center has served us well for 50 years; we’ve never had a reason to leave,” added Eugene DeMarco. “We have a tremendous relationship with our customers and the communities we serve – these relationships are the backbone of our business.”

Anchored by Stop & Shop, Regent Shopping Center’s tenant roster includes a balanced mix of national and local retailers and service providers, including new additions Crunch Fitness and JAG Physical Therapy.
